Thing 6: Online Networking

I find that I use Facebook for my personal life and LinkedIn for my professional life.  I am very cautious about using both of them and try to keep my privacy protected as much as possible.  I don't visit LinkedIn that much since I am not job hunting and I am content at this location.  I get a lot of support and feedback from an email group of library directors in my state, so I don't often seek professional news/advice elsewhere.  When I conducted the last position search at my Library I did searching and found most of the candidates in Facebook and LinkedIn.  I did not find any thing out of the ordinary, just information that confirmed their resumes and gave me a little more information about that person.
